This glorious brass idol of Nataraja, is meant for performing puja at home, or for simply decorating your home. Nataraja is a depiction of the god Shiva, the cosmic dancer, who performs his divine dance to destroy a weary universe, and to make preparations for God Brahma to start the process of creation. In this sculpture, Shiva is dancing in a circle of flames, lifting his leg and balancing over a demon (Apasmara) who symbolizes ignorance. Nataraja statues are well known sculptural symbols within India and are popularly used as a symbol of Indian culture around the world. This statue has been designed and casted by folk craftsmen from India and then given a unique gold/copper finish.
